Global Warming

When the earth’s temperature rises, the polar ice caps melt and the sea level rises. This can have a devastating impact on coastal communities and low-lying areas.

The global average surface temperature has risen 1.53 degrees Fahrenheit since 1880, according to NASA and NOAA data. The rise in temperature is attributed to human activities that release heat-trapping gases like carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. These gases act like a blanket, trapping heat near Earth’s surface.

There are many causes of global warming, but scientists agree that humans are causing it by burning fossil fuels such as coal and oil for electricity, transportation, heating and cooling our homes, or manufacturing materials such as plastics or metal products. This releases carbon dioxide into the air which traps heat around Earth's surface leading to an increase in global temperatures.

There are a number of effects of global warming, but the most significant is the rise in sea levels. The melting of ice sheets and glaciers leads to an increase in the volume of water in the world's oceans. This water is then pushed into other areas, leading to flooding and erosion.

The effects of global warming are not just physical, they also have psychological effects on people. People who live in areas that are more vulnerable to natural disasters may become more anxious and depressed when they hear about events such as hurricanes or floods.

The global warming is the gradual increase in the average temperature of Earth's atmosphere and oceans and its projected continuation.

The global warming has been caused by an increasing atmospheric concentration of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and chlorofluorocarbons. The most significant of these greenhouse gases is carbon dioxide.

In order to prevent global warming from happening, we should take measures to reduce the production of these greenhouse gases.

mental health in students

Mental health is a topic that is often neglected in the education system. It is not a topic that is discussed openly and it is not something that students are encouraged to speak about. As a result, many students are struggling with mental health issues, but they don’t know where to turn for help.

Students are often faced with pressure from school, teachers, parents and themselves. This pressure can lead to stress and anxiety which can lead to many different mental health conditions such as depression or bipolar disorder. These conditions can affect their academic performance, their personal relationships and their overall quality of life.

In order to change the culture around mental health in schools, we need to start by making it

The pressure of achieving high grades in the education system can lead to feelings of depression and anxiety among students. Schools should be aware of this and provide support for their students.

Mental health is a sensitive topic that is often overlooked in schools. Students are often under too much pressure to achieve high grades, which can lead to feelings of depression and anxiety. Schools need to be aware of this, and provide support for their students so they can get through it.

Mental health in students is becoming a major concern. Students are under immense pressure to achieve and maintain high grades. This often leads to depression, anxiety and other mental disorders.

A study by the American College Health Association found that about 14% of students had experienced moderate to severe depressive symptoms in the past year, with 11% reporting suicidal thoughts or behaviors.

The study also found that more than half of college students felt overwhelmed by all they had on their plate, and one in three said they were either too depressed or too stressed out to participate in daily activities outside of school.

The pressure of studying and the expectations of parents and teachers can have a significant impact on a student’s mental health. The study goals, expectations, pressure, and achievements are all factors that contribute to the mental health in students.

The goal of this section is to introduce the reader to what factors can lead to mental health issues in students.

Students are under a lot of pressure to succeed. They are expected to get top grades, be the best at sports, and participate in extracurricular activities. When they don't live up to these expectations, they start feeling like failures.

This is especially true for students with mental health problems. It can be hard for them to keep up with their school work and maintain a healthy lifestyle when they have depression or anxiety.

In order to help students with mental health problems succeed in school, teachers should try to understand their needs better and help them get the support they need in order to manage their condition and achieve their goals.

Global Warming

Global Warming is a term almost everyone is familiar with. But, its meaning is still not clear to most of us. So, Global warming refers to the gradual rise in the overall temperature of the atmosphere of the Earth. There are various activities taking place which have been increasing the temperature gradually. Global warming is melting our ice glaciers rapidly. This is extremely harmful to the earth as well as humans. It is quite challenging to control global warming; however, it is not unmanageable. The first step in solving any problem is identifying the cause of the problem. Therefore, we need to first understand the causes of global warming that will help us proceed further in solving it. In this essay on Global Warming, we will see the causes and solutions of Global Warming.

Causes of Global Warming

Global warming has become a grave problem which needs undivided attention. It is not happening because of a single cause but several causes. These causes are both natural as well as manmade. The natural causes include the release of greenhouses gases which are not able to escape from earth, causing the temperature to increase.

Further, volcanic eruptions are also responsible for global warming. That is to say, these eruptions release tons of carbon dioxide which contributes to global warming. Similarly, methane is also one big issue responsible for global warming.

After that, the excessive use of automobiles and fossil fuels results in increased levels of carbon dioxide. In addition, activities like mining and cattle rearing are very harmful to the environment. One of the most common issues that are taking place rapidly is deforestation.

So, when one of the biggest sources of absorption of carbon dioxide will only disappear, there will be nothing left to regulate the gas. Thus, it will result in global warming. Steps must be taken immediately to stop global warming and make the earth better again.

Global Warming Solutions

As stated earlier, it might be challenging but it is not entirely impossible. Global warming can be stopped when combined efforts are put in. For that, individuals and governments, both have to take steps towards achieving it. We must begin with the reduction of greenhouse gas.

Furthermore, they need to monitor the consumption of gasoline. Switch to a hybrid car and reduce the release of carbon dioxide. Moreover, citizens can choose public transport or carpool together. Subsequently, recycling must also be encouraged.

For instance, when you go shopping, carry your own cloth bag. Another step you can take is to limit the use of electricity which will prevent the release of carbon dioxide. On the government’s part, they must regulate industrial waste and ban them from emitting harmful gases in the air. Deforestation must be stopped immediately and planting of trees must be encouraged.

In short, all of us must realize the fact that our earth is not well. It needs to treatment and we can help it heal. The present generation must take up the responsibility of stopping global warming in order to prevent the suffering of future generations. Therefore, every little step, no matter how small carries a lot of weight and is quite significant in stopping global warming.

Modern Slavary

Modern slavery can be found in every corner of our globalized world. In 2017, the Global Estimates of Modern Slavery estimated that 40.3 million individuals were living in modern slavery; with individuals being exploited for the purposes of sexual exploitation, forced labour, forced marriage, domestic servitude, and forced criminality.

Advances in data collection have allowed us to better understand the prevalence and drivers of modern slavery, region by region and country by country. Higher rates of modern slavery have typically been associated with countries with lower economic wealth, weak rule of law, and those affected by conflict. Whilst this remains the case, this year’s Global Slavery Index highlights the significant role that more economically-developed countries have in perpetuating modern slavery. Despite their relative wealth, modern slavery crimes are taking place at an alarming rate in these countries and within their global supply chains.

Progressive action has been taken by developed nations to combat modern slavery, such as the introduction of modern slavery legislation, and this is to be welcomed. However, it is clear that critical gaps remain in the provision of protection for the vulnerable and in the apprehension of perpetrators.

Whilst new laws to tackle modern slavery are to be welcomed, countries also have a responsibility to look at existing legislation and assess whether they are inadvertently generating the conditions in which exploitation can flourish. Particular cohorts of the population, such as those working in the "gig economy" or seasonal migrant workers, may be particularly vulnerable to abuse due to weak labour laws and restrictive immigration policies. Any legislation, policy, and practice that exacerbate abuse must be repealed.

In my role as the UK’s Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner, I have seen just how much can be achieved when there is a political will to tackle modern slavery, and a readiness of government, business, and civil society to work in partnership. However, it is also clear that merely having modern slavery legislation, without the commitment or resourcing to ensure its effective implementation and enforcement, is not enough.

In 2015, the Modern Slavery Act was brought into force in the UK which, with the support of business, included a "Transparency in supply chains" provision. This provision requires businesses with a turnover of £36 million or more that provide goods and services in the UK to produce an annual statement explaining what they are doing to tackle modern slavery within their supply chains. The inclusion of this provision was an important step; however, two years on, corporate response to this requirement remains patchy at best. In 2017, 43 of the FTSE 100 failed to comply with the basic requirements of this legislation. Even with the legislation, the UK has a long way to go to in ensuring that UK businesses are slavery-free.

The introduction of the Modern Slavery Act has undoubtedly served to raise awareness of modern slavery, resulting in year-on-year increases in the number of victims of modern slavery being identified. There is a greater understanding of the various forms of modern slavery and the prevalence of British nationals falling victim to this crime. However, greater awareness is just a starting point; we must ensure that where cases are identified they are met with a robust, professional response.

The UK’s current system of support – the National Referral Mechanism – does not meet the needs of all victims and is currently being reformed. I welcome this. This is a crime that can destroy lives and we have a responsibility to protect and support victims to recover from their experiences and rebuild their lives – regardless of age, gender, or nationality.

It is unacceptable that modern slavery continues to exist in a climate of low-risk criminality and high-profit reward, making it the crime of choice for criminals, who for too long have operated with impunity across the UK and beyond.

All countries are affected by modern slavery and therefore all have a responsibility to bring an end to this scourge. Collaborative action at the local, national, and international level is required to address the conditions which make individuals vulnerable to abuse.

Through research such as this Global Slavery Index, we have a greater understanding of modern slavery across the globe. We know what the problem is, let’s now act.

Escapement from enslavement of cyberspace

Over a decade ago internet was an escape from the real world and today the real world is an escape from the internet.

Cyberspace has enslaved humanity with its shackles and has proven to be draining out our actual reason of life.

I am Pankaj Giri Goswami and today we are going to discuss about this exact problem and the scenarios we are facing presently.

Internet started being available to an individual commonly around 2010s in India right when Android was gaining heights.

With the start of this era we all have been prey to the cyberspace.

Readers, do you still take part in festivals wholeheartedly? Do you still like to sit out with friends?(if at all)Do you perform that daily routine you used to have in your shining     days? If no then it's all thanks to the digital manipulation.

People today prefer social media to socializing in reality. How many of you are subject to this? My answer is all of you.

Believe it or not we are already in the loophole.

According to a recent survey 95% of us use social media platforms on daily basis,WhatsApp and Instagram being at top.

This was highly ignited by the falling prices of internet in India.

Now you would wonder that 'why am I even reading this post, it's not like the end of the world by being prey to the the internet', but it actually is the same. We are losing our consciousness. Our senses are wearing out and high level intelligence disappearing.

Take the example of my close friend whom I used to study with. A year ago he was achieving top grades in all major subjects, excelling in academic’s as well as athletics.

Then came the horrific smartphone. He became lazy, tired and addicted to all the evils of cyberspace.

Take my own example; I am not the same as I was without the internet.

Now the question arises that what in the world can I do to avoid it or at least reduce it's impact on myself. Well it's basically a very easy task to perform (not that easy for the ones seeking comfortable routines).

1.)What you have to do is just stop looking at the screen when going out or attending any event with a motive to cut your screen time in half in just 3 days.

2.) Furthermore you will have to restrict your cyber activities to maximum of an hour a day.

3.) Stop wasting your time scrolling down on insta and Facebook because it's not gonna provide you employment but drug you.

Cyberspace isn't your lifeline. You are not fed by updates and gaming, you need real food and for that you need to have a real life. Stop this junk from controlling you.

Here's another survey where 65% of mobile and computer users are prone to gaming.

Kids today choose online gaming rather than actual sports. Now why is that so, it's because of their friends and family and every other being whom they are imitating.

We simply learn what we see. This type of enslavement starts without any signs in our early teenage. It's also not too late to not take any action upon it. We can still win this fight.

Yesterday I saw an old couple spending their quality time in a garden and just besides them was a young couple fighting over insulting one another on social media.

That is just reckless, immoral and weird I would say.

Just come on now people, how low can you go. You are deciding the route of your life on social media reviews today.

Escapement from this pandemic, I would say, is not only a must for us but also for generations to come on the planet.

Cyberspace has also evolved its fangs and tricks to treat you. You are also subject to a high risk of losing your privacy online.

Now as a normal user you would 'how is that even possible, we are not being watched and our personal information is not leaked'.

Well it actually is today.

Privacy is a myth. Ever heard of the dark web, now that's the place you can see your profiles being sold out. This is all thanks to our eternal need for social life.

People escape this simulation and jump to reality. The sun is still out there. Be more concerned about your routine, hang out with friends, go for a walk, visit the park, do anything to keep yourself away from the fake world of cyberspace.

Playing that popular game which everyone in class enjoys, or using that new Snap chat filter is not everything, it's not your call if you are just doing it because your friends do so.

Now after going through all this readers if you have generated the slightest bit of concern about your true freedom then go and  show the world what you can do, or just your friend circle, take this opportunity to live a happier life and a peaceful one.

If you liked my blog then be sure to give it

a like and a nice review and don't forget

 to share with

 your friends and family.
